Outstanding Little Amp--Great Sound and Great Looks

I've had this little Topping TP22 for about three months. I needed a small amp for a bedroom and did a fair amount of research to find an amp which was small, inexpensive, and with good sound. I settled on the Topping and I'm delighted that I did. I have had many amps over the years, and have generally liked my tube amps the best. I've never found a solid state amp, including many of the technical variations, that I liked as well as the tube amps. I don't say this amp sounds like a tube amp, but it sounds better than many of the much more expensive solid state amps I've had. The quality of the sound is truly surprising.
In addition, it's very well made, with a solid feel and nice connectors on the back. It has two rear inputs with a small selector switch on the front alongside the identical power switch. The volume control has a quality feel and an attractive blue backlight. It runs very cool, and makes plenty of sound into my relatively inefficient bookshelf speakers. Right now I'm using it with a Super Audio CD (SACD) player and some fine SACD disks. Amazingly the Topping is capable of revealing what the SACD format can do in two-channel mode. This is a great little amp at almost any price. For the actual price it's a complete steal.
